I love my rostered days off (RDOs) from work.

They're like these little respites each month that I've earned by working an extra 20 minutes each day. They seem to smell and taste better than planned annual leave or mental health days - like little gifts of time lined with gold. I would give up every single other of my work benefits (which I hardly use any of, anyway) to retain this one day off each month.

Autumn in Melbourne

The weather is changing again. As the days pass the temperature is slowly dropping. Mid-morning was around 10 degrees Celcius today when Jet and I went out for a walk. The pavements are coated in rusted leaves crunching underfoot. They'll all be cereal soggy again later today as the rain sets in again.

I really love Autumn.
