Home Cinema

Michelle April 29, 2007

Porch chairs on Kerr St, Melbourne - there's never anything worth watching at the movies, and don't even get me started on television. But sitting out here of an evening with a beer is the cinema of life and you can't beat it. There's that old codger who wheels his earthly belongings past at dusk every night on his way to the shelter, and that guy who always sits in his car and talks on his cellphone after being at the gym on Tuesdays and Thursday nights. Then sometimes, if you're really lucky, one of the neighbour'sll have a blue and if the night is still you can hear every word - the people across the road are the best because she's such a fishwife we never miss a shot.
