Jungle Chair

Michelle May 2, 2007

Mr Livingchair, I presume? ok that was lame. This chair looks like it belongs to a flat full of students trying to get their respective thesis written while working waiting tables at one of the 450 eating/bar establishments of Melbourne. I think each of the students living in the two storey attached old inner city dwelling would have sat in this chair, at times getting a damp bottom, and often either smoking, *smoking* and generally trying not to think about the unifying theory of molecular kenetic chemectic string cohesion flaws in Einstiens relativity equations for at least a few moments during the night - thesis due on Monday.

Seaside Seating

Michelle April 30, 2007

Quiet seaside seating, St Kilda, Melbourne - the old lady sits in this chair with a crocheted blanket across her frail knees - she feels the cold early in Autumn these days, but the light is so beautiful as she looks out across her small courtyard, across the park and to the thin line of water that is the Tasman Sea beyond. She spends most of her time alone and quietly in her own thoughts. Sometimes her daughter and her grandchildren visit, but not so very often as they used to.

Seating slaves

Michelle April 30, 2007

Captive chairs on a porch in St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia - people kept nicking them! I mean, c'mon.. who steals pairs of chairs from a person's front porch! bloody kids. The chain isn't that strong really, but it makes a hur of a noise on the decking - enough to wake me up and let me grab my cricket bat and give those mongrels the what ho!

My buddy Toothless here, woke me up at 2.50am watching tv in the living room. He had the volume at an increasingly inconsiderate level. So i took the remote from him and turned tv off and told him to go. To. Sleep. Not on the remote this time.
