I wish I realised I was reflected in the mirror, I would have tilted it so you could see the stream of cars behind me. As it was, this morning's motorway was uncharacteristically fluid and I couldn't stop to take this shot.

It reminds me of a very cool scifi short story, the name and author of which completely escape me, all about a group of chickens stranded on a median strip who build a teleportation device to get off it. Turned out to be a big 'why did the chicken cross the road?' joke - but brilliantly told.

Think it might have been Neil Gaiman. Or someone else entirely.
