Repulica Fountain

My last day in Roma. It is clear and sunny and warm. There seem to be extra people in the city.. notices on Hotel doors say no-more-room. People keep coming into this Internet Point trying to find places to stay. The city is full.

I've been wandering about. Walked down via Nationale then through the tiny little streets past the Trevi Fountain and had my palm read. It's all good news - how fabulous! He predicted love and luck, success and money. Worth every penny! Walking up the crowded via Del Corso I stumbled over the Velazquez exhibition. Using these really cool audio cell phone informational thingies, I saw some of the only art of my trip. Next time I'll 'do' the Art Galleries. Continuing along the via del Corso to find the Piazza del Popolo - the Leonardo exhibition was 'sposed to be on there but blowed if I could find it. Huge piazza with a couple of nice fountains and a wonderful Eygptian obelisk.

I took the Metro back to Roma Termini, and it was surprisingly empty so was quite pleasent. Now I am just tredding water (so to speak - read 'wasting time') until about 6pm when I'll go pick my bags up from Luna's then make my way by train to the airport to begin my journey home. Although I am looking forward to going home, I am a bit sad about leaving Rome and in fact, finishing this wonderful trip. Stay tuned for pictures though, I have eight rolls of film in my bag just waiting to be processed. I hope they come out well because I can't wait to show them to you.
